The users of the application can send and request money via Lydia. The recipient does not need to be a customer.
Once the payment has taken place, there are three scenarios:
The recipient has a Lydia wallet, and their profile is verified
The amount is instantly credited to the recipient's Lydia wallet. It can then be immediately used to send a Lydia or transferred to a bank account without any fees.

The recipient has a Lydia account, but their profile is not verified
They will receive an email and an instant notification to inform them of the transaction. From the application, they will be offered two solutions to retrieve it:
- Verify their profile so that the money is credited to their Lydia wallet;
- Access a secure Lydia webpage that allows them to choose the bank account to which the money should be credited.
If the recipient does not take action within 7 days following the transaction, it will be canceled, and a refund will be made to the sender.
The recipient does not have a Lydia account
If the sender has provided a phone number or an email address, they will receive an SMS or an email within seconds of the sending to inform them of the transaction.
The message contains a link to a secure Lydia webpage that allows the recipient to choose the bank account on which the money should be credited.
If the recipient does not take action within 7 days following the transaction, it will be canceled, and a refund will be made to the sender.
The recipient should not do anything if they receive a message from Lydia for a transaction whose origin they do not know. They should especially not use the money. In this case, they must contact Lydia customer service to request more information or even cancellation.
This is prohibited by law (risk of prosecution), and it could also be a scam.
