The Lydia app can be used in several European countries. To use the app, users must have a mobile phone number issued in one of the eligible countries.

List of compatible countries within the Lydia app

Only phone numbers with the following area codes can be used to create a Lydia account:

  • 🇫🇷 Metropolitan France and DROM-COM (numbers starting with +33 +262, +596, +590 and +594)
  • 🇲🇨 Monaco (+377)
  • 🇧🇪 Belgium (+32)
  • 🇩🇪 Germany (+49)
  • 🇪🇸 Spain (+34)
  • 🇮🇪 Ireland (+353)
  • 🇵🇹 Portugal (+351)
  • 🇮🇹 Italy (+39) 🆕
  • 🇱🇺 Luxembourg (+352) 🆕.

Accepted bank cards

To use Lydia and its services (e.g. paying back friends, contributing to a money pot), the user can register a credit card issued by a European bank. Find out more about the list of compatible cards.

Whether the user wishes to make a refund from the application or contribute to a money pot from a browser, an internet connection is essential.
