How the recipient can receive the money

The recipient can open the link from a phone or a web browser. Depending on their situation, they can retrieve the money via the Lydia app if they have an account, or from a secure web page by entering an IBAN.

The recipient can see the main payment details before retrieving the money, such as:

  • the amount sent;
  • the payer's name;
  • the reason for the payment;
  • the link status;
  • the remaining time before expiration.
    If the payer has secured the payment link with the recipient's name, a beneficiary verification is performed before the funds are retrieved.
    For any questions, the recipient can contact customer service.

Receiving via the Lydia app

If the recipient opens the link from a phone with the Lydia app installed, the link will open directly in the app. They can:

  • accept the payment and receive the money in their Lydia account;
  • choose the bank account to receive the money;
  • be prompted to log in to their Lydia account before continuing, then reopen the link.

Receiving via the web

If the recipient opens the link from a browser, they can retrieve the money via a secure web page. They can notably:

If no match is found with a Lydia account, the recipient will be redirected to the bank transfer form.

A payment link may not work in the following cases:

  • the link has expired;
  • the link has already been used;
  • the payment has been canceled or refunded;
  • the recipient tries to retrieve the money with an IBAN or account that cannot be used;
  • if the customer secured the link with a recipient name and that name does not match the Lydia account or IBAN used;
  • the customer tries to open their own link.
